How to Access the Virtual UR Minecraft Server

————————————————————————
Basic Server Information:
Server IP address: virtualur.mcserver.io
Minecraft version: 1.18.2 (latest release)
————————————————————————

Below are the options for accessing the server in Minecraft. If these do not work well for you but you are still interested in touring the server, please enjoy a free slideshow tour using the link on our main webpage (VirtualUR.com) in lieu of using Minecraft.

Accessing from Console (Xbox/Playstation/etc.), Smartphone, or Tablet:

At this time, it is not possible to access our Minecraft server from these devices. The Minecraft versions used on these devices, Bedrock and Pocket Edition, are not compatible with the Java version described below.

To access the server from a computer, use the corresponding steps below.

Accessing from PC/Mac:

The first step is to ensure the main Java Minecraft game is installed on your device. If you don’t already own a copy of the game, you can visit https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/get-minecraft and select “Computer,” followed by your platform (Windows/Mac/Linux). The one-time cost to purchase Minecraft is typically around $20. Please note: Virtual UR has no affiliation with Minecraft, does not coordinate any payment, and is not responsible for any purchases you may choose to make on Minecraft’s external site.

As stated above, if you do not own a copy of the Java edition of Minecraft and would prefer not to purchase a copy, please enjoy a free slideshow tour of the world using the link on our main webpage (VirtualUR.com).

If Java Minecraft is installed, start it and navigate to the following screen, ensuring it says “Java Edition” in the center of the screen and has the correct version information in the bottom left (in this photo, it is 1.16.3, but your version will be different):

For updated server information, including which version of Minecraft the Virtual UR Server uses, please see the FAQ.

Now select multiplayer, then “direct connection,” then enter server IP address virtualur.mcserver.io

That’s it! You should be connected to the Virtual UR Minecraft world. We hope you enjoy!
